Potassium Needed

Your body may need more Potassium if you are stressed and or have muscle tension.potassium

I have been going to the chiropractor for my neck and back and they said that my muscle tension is pulling my neck and back out of alignment and that I should get a massage to
relax my muscles. I did just that. The next week I got a upper body massage. I got some muscle relief for about 3 days then it was back again.

For some reason I decided to drink a low sodium V-8 and in 20 minutes the muscle tension started to let up. V-8 has over 1,000 milligrams of potassium. The next day I paid attention to my diet and ate high potassium foods. banana and raisins for breakfast, baked potatoe and lima beens for dinner, banan/strawberry smoothie for mid day snack, low sodium v-8 in the evening. NOW – my muscle tension has released. I am no longer uncomfortable.

Did you know that our bodies need a MINIMUM of 2000 milligrams of potassium a day?
The recommened amount is 3000 and your body can handle up to 6000 milligrams a day.
I was barely getting 1000 milligrams….that was my under lying problem for my muscle tension.

So if you have the same problem here is a list of potassium rich foods that you can eat to ease the muscle tension as it did me.

Lima Beans
Honey Dew
Winter Squash
