chondroitin sulphate. Glucosamine is an amino sugar involved in the
lubrication and maintenance of connective tissue such as cartilage,
tendons, and ligaments. The connective tissue is responsible for holding
your bones together. Chondroitin sulfate is an important structural
component of cartilage and provides much of its resistance to
compression. It is shown in some studies to protect against cartilage
degradation by inhibiting the action of certain enzymes present in
synovial fluid, which may damage joint cartilage.
